Artist Statement:

I love to create useful things out of trash. I started liking this hobby after I went on a field trip to the dump. The instructor taught us about recycling. That is when my interest started. I wanted to combine this part of my story with another part. In my family we have been taught to always look for the good in others, Somedays are bright and somedays are dark. Sometimes we make good choices and sometimes we make mistakes. I think if we focus on the good them the brightness will spread until the darkness disappears.

Artist Statement:

I chose to take a picture of an airplane flying in the sky and birds sitting on a wire. The people on the airplane and the birds too have a great view of the world. My story is only a small part of the big story of our world. Some hard things for me have been getting my tonsils out and also getting braces. When I have to do hard things it'd be nice to see how my story fits into the big story of the world. Then maybe the hard things in my life wouldn't seem so hard.

In my life I have learned that it is always helpful to be positive, especially when I have a bad day. The sunrise reminds me that it is a new day and I can start over again. Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day. Even though life is hard, be positive and look for the good things in life.

My family went with my Great Uncle to Zion National Park at the end of September. It was my first time and I earned my Jr. Ranger pin. The park was crowded and so we found a dried up river ed to hike and enjoy time alone together.

I based my photography on things I love. I love Harry Potter movies. The medal is showing that I love to sing. The swimming medal shows that I love to swim and it shows that I am a simmer. The chicken and the fox shows my favorite animals. The kidstri medal is a triathalon medal, and the Michael Vey book shows that I love Michael Vey.
